（女性インタビュアー） What’s your name and where are you from? （お名前と出身地はどこですか？）
（Yota） Hello, I’m Yota. I am from Japan. （こんにちは、Yotaです。日本から来ました。）
（女性インタビュアー） What did you find most challenging about learning English in the beginning? （英語学習を始めた当初、何が一番大変でしたか？）
（Yota） It’s a nice question. When I came here, I was kind of confident with my English skills just because I know a lot of grammar, uh, about English. But at the first time I came here, I couldn’t understand literally everything what they’re talking about. So, it was a challenging part that there are gaps between my ideal and the real situation. （良い質問ですね。ここに来たとき、文法知識があったので、自分の英語力に少し自信がありました。ですが、ここに来た当初は、彼らが話していることが文字通り何も理解できませんでした。理想と現実の間にギャップがあったことが、一番大変な部分でした。）
（女性インタビュアー） Okay. What was it like living in San Diego as an international student? （なるほど。留学生としてサンディエゴに住むのはどんな感じでしたか？）
（Yota） Yeah. When I live in Japan, the people surrounding me, almost everyone is Japanese. So I thought when I came here, I will be minority. But it never happened because everyone here has different culture and different background. So they all welcomed me. So it is really easy to get used to living in San Diego. （そうですね。日本に住んでいると、周りの人はほとんど日本人です。だからここに来たら自分がマイノリティになると思っていました。でも、実際にはそうなりませんでした。ここにはみんな違う文化や背景を持っているので、全員が私を歓迎してくれました。だから、サンディエゴでの生活にはとても簡単に慣れることができました。）
（女性インタビュアー） What are your next plans? （次の予定は何ですか？）
（Yota） My next plan is to do internship in Kenya. I will do some marketing in the company which is consulting safari now. I hope it will be great experience. （次の予定は、ケニアでインターンシップをすることです。サファリのコンサルティングをしている会社で、マーケティングを担当する予定です。素晴らしい経験になることを願っています。）
